  1. I would like to know how soon in Power Query will be added extended functionality for support Regular Expressions, XPath / XQuery and Multithreaded / Parallel querying. In the current state this product is not suitable for general use.

      I can’t comment on timelines, but I know the PQ team are working hard to add new functionality and it’s worth remembering that this is a tool aimed at information workers and not necessarily people like you or me. I don’t think it’s fair to say that it’s not suitable for general use – it depends on who’s using the tool and what they are using it for.
