AS Performance Workbench

Rob Kerr has just released what looks like an extremely useful tool on Codeplex to do load testing on SSAS: AS Performance Workbench. Check it out here:

I can see that I’ll be using this a lot…

  3. Hi Chris,

execuse me that I post my question here, since I don’t have the contact info of the authors, Rob Kerr, who developed asperfwb.

    I downloaded asperfwb from codeplex
    https://archive.codeplex.com/?p=asperfwb

and unzipped it on my local machine. There are some folders, with some json files inside. But I didn’t find .exe or some other installation files. How can I install it? As you said, this tool is very helpful for stress test on Cube. I would like to use it.

I am looking forward you reply.

    Thanks.

    best regards,

    Chunyan

    1. I’m sorry, I don’t have the contact information for Rob either. It’s an old tool and I’m not even sure it would work with recent versions of Analysis Services.

  4. Hi Chris,

Thanks for your reply. ASPerfWB is indeed one old tool. But it sounds useful for stress test of cube. It might be obsolete for the recent version. Could you please recommend some other similar tools for stress test?

    Best regards,

    Chunyan
